In addition to this announcement, the FDA has initiated steps to ban the importation of all compounds containing Estriol (E3). The availability of this compound will probably be jeopardized with a few short months. It is not clear what actions the FDA plans to take on doctors and pharmacies that promote or prescribe bio-identical hormones or other similar natural products. As a result of this action, Dr. Levine will no longer prescribe, refill, support, advise or recommend the use of bio-identical hormones.
